Youth lacrosse is for players in K/1st-8th grades. Players are grouped by grade levels: K/1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8. The Jefferson County Wild plays in the Western Maryland Lacrosse (WML), with games across MD as well as in WV, PA and VA. The season begins in March and consists of approximately 2-3 practices per week with 1-2 games over the weekend. There are 8 games played in the season which culminates in an end-of-season tournament in June. All coaches must be at least Bronze level certified by USA Lacrosse. Registration for youth lacrosse begins in December. Registration fees include first uniform as a Wild player. Scoopers for grades pre-1st grade will be at a reduced rate and will primarily consist of developmental skills with the possibility of games depending on size of program. There may be opportunity to play other Scoopers programs or may have primarily in-house Scoopers coach-led game opportunities.
